Corner Shelf

CORNER SHELF | Cambridge | MA

The problem was to design a shelf to be placed in a corner of a room between two doors. This restriction required for the shelf to become vertical. The initial desire was to use the thinnest possible plywood and to express two overlapping zigzag bands. This led to the development of two individually clear systems that became subordinate to the overall logic once they were overlapped and superimposed.
