BRICKBOTTOM DISTRICT EDGE AS CENTER - competition | Somerville | MA [Winner]

The competition was organized by the Boston Society of Architects and The City of Somerville.The proposed plan for the Brickbottom District envisions a multi-layered community, regenerating the existing industrial identity with redefined building typologies and integrated land-use planning. The intention is not to create a gentrified neighborhood but instead respect the existing ownership parcels and delicately overlay the opportunity for varied interventions.
